Document II · Phase 1 Report · February — May 2026

From foundation
to independent
block production.

Centronium Phase 1 set out to launch the chain safely and prove decentralization through public block data — not slogans. This is the launch plan, and the chain's answer to it, side by side.

§ 01 — Executive Objective

Two failure modes. One narrow path between them.

A new chain that launches without foundation support stalls. A chain that launches with permanent foundation support is centralized in everything but name. Phase 1 was designed to thread the needle — and produce auditable evidence that it did.

Plan

Launch the chain safely, validate live PoUW API consensus, and begin the transition from foundation-operated mining to independent miner production.

Show decentralization through public block data, not claims.

— From Launch Plan §01

Result

Chain launched Feb 26. PoUW consensus validated under live load. Foundation mining reduced through four measured handoff windows.

By Apr 10, the network produced 1,140–1,190 blocks/day without active foundation support — within 18% of the 1,440-block target.

§ 02 — Stage Execution

Four stages defined. Each one left a fingerprint in the chain.

The strategy called for foundation-supported launch, then a deliberate baseline test, then progressive handoff windows, then standby reserve. Each transition was intentional — and visible in daily block counts.

A
Supported Launch
FEB 26 — MAR 12 · 15 days

Foundation mining ran continuously to protect early production while independent miners onboarded.

Observed Climb to 1,355 blocks (Mar 6, peak). Consistent 800–1,180 range. PoUW consensus stable.
B
Baseline Test
MAR 13 · 1 day window

Foundation support pulled. Goal: measure what independent miners could produce alone — knowing the result might be near zero.

Observed 11 blocks. Lowest day on record. The plan called this acceptable — it is the honest baseline.
C
Handoff Windows
MAR 20 — APR 9 · ~3 weeks

Recurring reduction windows let independent miners take more load. Each dip shallower than the last — the curve the plan predicted.

Observed Mar 20: 375 → Mar 27: 510 → Mar 31: 712 → Apr 3: 802. Each recovery faster than the last.
D
Standby Mode
APR 10 — PRESENT · ongoing

Independent production locked in. Foundation miners moved to emergency reserve. Daily output stable across 23+ consecutive days.

Observed 1,140–1,190 blocks/day, 23 days running. Standard deviation under 20 blocks. No support intervention required.
§ 03 — The Decentralization Curve

A picture the plan asked for. The chain delivered it.

Daily block production across all 67 days. The dips are not failures — they are the handoff windows specified in §5 of the launch plan. The recoveries are the independent miner network finding its footing.

Phase 1 Completion Declaration

Centronium Phase 1 has completed its controlled decentralization handoff. The network launched with foundation support, measured independent mining capacity through a documented baseline test, progressively reduced foundation dependence across four handoff windows, and reached stable production through independent miners.

Foundation miners have moved to standby reserve. Phase 2 Growth is now active.
